Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of genomics, molecular biology, and applied breeding across different crop species. His research centers on complex trait variation and the accumulation of mutations in breeding populations, with publications in these fields.

Throughout her career she has founded Singular Values, a supply chain forecasting company in Mexico City, co-directed Building 21 at McGill University, and launched Portée, a talent discovery and community incubator in Montreal.
